Ogden High School joined dozens of other teams from around the state, including Ben Lomond High School, to compete in the Special Olympics Utah Unified Sports basketball tournament at Weber State University today. The Ogden School Foundation helped sponsor the teams and make this competition possible for these athletes.
“It’s so important for these students to experience being part of a team, learning sportsmanship and having hundreds of people cheer for them. It’s been a great experience!” said one of the coaches.
Dignitaries at the tournament included Superintendent Rasmussen, Utah Governor and First Lady Cox and the player’s favorite fan… The Jazz Bear.
