Ogden High – Individual State Champions Tennis & Track

Tennis:

Congratulations to Spencer Christensen for winning the 3A No.3 Singles State Championship – Spencer defeated Rowland Hall’s Andrew Murphy in the final match with sets of 6-3, 6-1.

No.2 Singles Teagan Broadbent took second place in the finals losing to Rowland Hall’s Eric Lu.

Track:

Jake Peterson won the 3,200m with a time of 9:34.70.

Brinley Beus finished 2nd (15.51) in the 100m Hurdles and 3rd (47.71) in the 300m Hurdles.

OHS State Swim Results

Congratulations swimmers!   Girls took 5th overall and boys took 9th.  Just awesome!  13PR's today and 7 podiums!  Excellent splits and finishes in our relays, too.

OHS Girls Basketball Scores Upset

Ogden High girls basketball outscored No. 15 Juab 13-3 in the second quarter to fuel a first-round, 3A state tournament upset Tuesday, as the Tigers topped the Wasps 53-45.

Ashley Christensen (pictured above) scored 20 points for No. 18 Ogden (7-16), made three 3-pointers, shot 5 of 6 at the foul line and led all scorers. Lucy Ballard scored 11 points and Brynn Smith scored eight.

The Tigers will travel to No. 2 Richfield at 7 p.m. Friday in the second round of the playoffs.
