The Ogden Tigers won the 4A Girls Soccer State Championship! The Tigers edged Ridgeline by a final score of 2-1 at Rio Tinto Stadium on Friday, October 25th.
The Tigers having made the playoffs the last few years, started the season with one goal in mind, a State Championship. The team boasted a high powered offense that was backed up by one of the best defenses in the state. In 20 games, the Tigers managed to score 92 goals while only giving up 12 to their opponents. Over half of the games this year ended in a shutout. Despite these accomplishments, the team still worked endlessly to reach its goal of a title. With a first half goal by Junior Bonita Gray and a PK goal by Senior Alysia Butters, the Tigers won the Girls Soccer title, their first since 2011. Congratulations to the Tiger soccer players and coaches!
