
Ogden High girls basketball outscored No. 15 Juab 13-3 in the second quarter to fuel a first-round, 3A state tournament upset Tuesday, as the Tigers topped the Wasps 53-45.
Ashley Christensen (pictured above) scored 20 points for No. 18 Ogden (7-16), made three 3-pointers, shot 5 of 6 at the foul line and led all scorers. Lucy Ballard scored 11 points and Brynn Smith scored eight.
The Tigers will travel to No. 2 Richfield at 7 p.m. Friday in the second round of the playoffs.
